Established in 1932, the Calgary branch of the Canadian International Council (CIC Calgary) has been an integral part of the community in this energy and innovation hub of Canada.
CIC Calgary has actively served to connect our local population with issues of the world and with knowledge of Canada’s role in the international community by providing a forum and focal point for those interested in global affairs and Alberta’s role in the world.
During our programming year between September and June, our Speakers Program hosts 6 – 8 events on a wide variety of topics that can range in format from casual and interactive Politics in the Pub discussions to single speaker keynote addresses and expert panel forums.
With a knowledgeable and engaged group of academic scholars, business leaders and community members who share an interest in foreign affairs, branch activities aim to provide timely discussions related to Canadian foreign policy as well as a unique networking opportunity for those who live locally, but who are interested in issues abroad.
